Teacher – Student Relationship

Students spend about ten months,less than two hundred twenty days and more or less two thousand hours with their teacher in a usual school year and that’s possibly why teachers were able to build up some kind of a warm and parental relationship with their students but the thing is the connection between a teacher and a student is more than that of a parent and child relationship. The relationship between them can have a long lasting impact on the progression of a student.

Teachers establish several relationships with their students. They act as instructors, someone who molds the skills and minds of the students by sharing all the knowledge they saved and collected in their minds . They act as a friend, a person that every students can lean on and someone who is all ears everytime there is something that a student is having trouble with. They serve as counselors that guides the students to the right path of success and give them advice whenever they are in pinch. They also show signs of parenthood to their students because of the nonstop scolding they give to them whenever they do something inappropriate and because of their determination to lift them up whenever they are in the brink of capitulation.

According to studies developing a positive teacher student relationship is crucial for it is an important aspect of quality teaching and student learning. A true successful teacher has the ability to teach clearly with passion and was able to make a student unleash his full potential as an individual and a genuine triumphant student listens and gnaws everything that his teacher instructs. They have some kind of mutual relationship, one teaches the other to have a mature mentality while the other one teaches the other how to see the best in every people and helps improves teaching practice.

The fact that students spend more time in school means that they created a special and irreplaceable bond with their teachers. They see their teachers as an instructor, a friend, and a counselor while teachers treat them like their own child. Together they build a relationship that benfits them both. This kind of relationship serve as the students’ stepping stone in reaching their dreams and this is what pushes the teachers to work hard and surpass who they are yesterday.
